AccurateTax.com Named Certified Service Provider for the Streamlined Sales Tax Project
AccurateTax.com has been named one of only six Certified Service Providers by the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board, an organization developed to assist states as they administer simpler and more uniform sales and use tax rules.
Merritt Island, FL (PRWEB) July 14, 2010 — The Governing Board of the Streamlined Sales Tax Project has named AccurateTax.com as one of only six Certified Service Providers who have met the rigorous certification process for sales tax software solutions. The new enterprise version of AccurateTax.com’s TaxTools product allows volunteer sellers with the Streamlined Sales Tax Project to calculate accurate sales tax on all transactions, according to the regulations put forth by the twenty-three states that have passed legislation conforming to the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement.
The Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement is a cooperative effort of 44 states, the District of Columbia, various local governments, and the business community. Its goal is to encourage and support both retailers (including Internet and mail order businesses) and member states by minimizing the costs and administrative burdens associated with multiple-state sales tax laws. This is achieved through simplification of tax laws, efficient administration procedures, and technology advancements.
